A Vertical Machining Center (VMC) is a CNC milling machine where the spindle axis is oriented vertically. VMCs are used for precision milling, drilling, boring, and tapping of metal parts — common in automotive, aerospace, die-mold, and general engineering. The vertical spindle orientation is ideal for flat workpieces, dies, moulds, and prismatic components.
Choose by your largest part's X-axis dimension: VL-6i for parts up to ~500 mm long, VL-8iF for up to ~700 mm, VL-10iF for up to ~900 mm. For heavy fixtures or palletised work, the VL-8iF and VL-10iF support 800 kg table loads. If spindle power is a priority (heavy-duty aluminium or steel), the VL-10iF's 11/18.5 kW spindle is the clear choice. Send us your part drawing and we'll confirm the model.
All three models achieve ±0.005 mm positioning accuracy per 300 mm and ±0.003 mm repeatability. This is suitable for precision automotive, die-mold, and most aerospace applications.
